This afternoon at 4 p.m. C.E.T. the first ARISTOIL PLUS Living Lab Italy session will take place online through zoom platform. More than 70 participants already registered, representing public institutions, research centres, producers, professionals and experts of the olive oil sector, NGOs and citizens.

The first Living Lab meeting is organized in the framework of ARISTOIL PLUS project, a European cooperation initiative co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund as part of the Interreg MEDITERRANEAN 2014-2020 Programme which aims at transferring the results of the previous ARISTOIL project which, in addition to creating a cluster of companies of the olive oil sector for the promotion of the nutraceutical properties of extra virgin olive oil (EVOO), has developed tools to maximize the polyphenol content in EVOO and in particular a set of good practices for producing a healthy extra virgin olive oil, maximizing the polyphenol content in the product.

Project Living Labs (LLs) are implemented using a working methodology that allows experimentation and co-creation between end users and the actors involved (quadruple helix) in real life environments. LLs take the form of participatory paths that, by putting all stakeholders at the center, guide them to theme-related knowledge collaboratively. In particular, the ARISTOIL PLUS Living Lab network responds to the challenge of co-creating the prototype of a label for healthy olive oil bottles.

The Living Lab path will be achieved in three stages with today’s first meeting aimed at presenting the methodology and the quadruple helix agreement as well as sharing of the theoretical knowledge necessary for the creation of the label. A second meeting will be held on next March 11, 2022 for practically co-creating the label, while in the third and last meeting (date to be defined) the developed label will be presented and the healthy olive oil cluster will be co-created.

All ARISTOIL PLUS Living Labs will be held online. Participation is open to all interested people, which can participate upon registration on the dedicated webform.
